About Us
The White Lake Historical Society was established in 1987 after the 1986 celebration of the Sesquicentennial of White Lake Township. The purpose of this Society shall be to bring together those people interested in history and especially in the history of the White Lake Township Area. The Society shall preserve, advance and disseminate knowledge of the history of the White Lake Township Area. It shall be the duty of said Society to collect, arrange and preserve and restore historical material, including buildings, books, pamphlets, maps, charts, manuscripts, papers, copies of domestic and foreign records and archives, paintings, statuary and other objects and material illustrative of the early pioneers, their exploits, perils, privations and achievements. The society shall cooperate with and assist other historical societies with a view to gathering historical matters pertaining to the White Lake area and its early pioneers.

Mission Statement
The White Lake Historical Society's mission is to bring together individuals who share a passion for history, particularly the rich heritage of the White Lake Township Area.
We will work to preserve, retore and archive a verity of historical materials including local historical buildings, paintings, books, pamphlets, maps, charts, manuscripts, papers, domestic, foreign records and material illustrative of the early pioneers.
We will collaborate with other historical societies to share and gathering historical matters pertaining to the White Lake area and its early pioneers.
We will honor the legacy of early pioneers and their remarkable stories and share those stories, artifacts and historical materials to enrich our community's understanding of its past.
